Andrew Croft Memorial Fund

Registered Charity No.1078106

This appeal is dedicated to the memory of Jamie Gardiner who died aged 22 on 2nd January 2017 in the mountains of Norway.

The Andrew Croft Memorial Fund exists to promote co-operation, team spirit, scientific understanding and the development of leadership qualities and skills in young people. It supported Jamie's expeditions in Greenland and Spitsbergen.

The ACMF is kindly establishing the "Jamie Gardiner Award", an annual award for an individual applicant headed for the Arctic (or, more rarely, the Antarctic) and success will be based on the endeavour, enterprise and commitment to science or research displayed in the application for funds.

We believe that it would be hard to find something closer to Jamie's heart, ambitions and values.

Donating with give.net is secure. If you are a UK taxpayer, please confirm that you would like to reclaim Gift Aid which adds 25p to every £1 given. There is a small fee, but less than for similar sites.

The total raised, above, also records offline gifts.

My condolences to you all - I have only recently heard. I knew Jamie when he was a teenager, but met him again recently when he sold me a pair of boots and we recognised each other. A great loss but I'm sure this will keep his spirit alive. Pete
