On 30 July 2017, I will embark on one of the biggest one-day challenges I’ve ever faced. Starting at the Olympic Park, I’ll be cycling 100 miles across London, up and over some steep Surrey hills and (hopefully) finishing on the Mall. The event is known as the Prudential RideLondon 100, and is, in effect, the London Marathon for cyclists.

As tough as it will be, I wanted to use it as an opportunity to raise support for Vision for Asia. They exist to provide practical and spiritual support to communities in some of the poorest regions of Asia, through local indigenous partners.

In particular, my church has a close connection with the team in Kolkata (India). They work in remote villages to share the message of Jesus’ love and salvation, as well as co-ordinating feeding programmes, children’s activities and micro-enterprise projects. Two of my close friends went to visit in January, and cannot speak highly enough of the work they are doing – you never know, I may even visit myself someday!

All the best Pete, sure you are going to smash it. Enjoy jumping between trains and the closed roads just don't beat my time!
