Burma Campaign UK

On May 20th a BCUK team of three, our Executive Director Anna Roberts and staff members Karin Valtersson and Doug Janke, is running the Regent's Park 10K to raise funds to help people in Burma. 10K may not seem that far, but none of us are fit and between us we are over 130 years old!

Anna recently visited Burma, meeting with activists and communities all over the country. She met with people forced to flee attacks by the Burmese Army in Kachin State, Rohingya people who have lived in squalid camps since they were attacked in 2012, and women’s activists in Shan State.
This year we lost our two remaining large grant funders leaving us desperately short of funding. We simply don’t have to resources to provide the help people in Burma are asking for.

So please sponsor us, and help us help people in Burma struggling for their rights, and for their lives.
If you are a UK taxpayer only, please confirm that you would like to reclaim Gift Aid. This will add 25p to every £1 you give.  Thank  you

I spent a month travelling around Burma in 1996 and the people were so beautiful and welcoming. Aung San Suu Kyi remains my hero each day. I watched her talk over the gates of her home and it warmed my heart.
