My 80th birthday sky-dive is to raise money for the Saving Lives @ Birth project run by my daughter Lucy. She is employed by Interserve and works in the Central Asian country which tragically boasts the world’s highest infant mortality rate and one of the highest maternal mortality rates. SL@B is so necessary because most of these deaths are due to lack of health care, knowledge and awareness.

Saving Lives @ Birth is a community-based education programme run in villages. It covers basic health, pregnancy, birth, care of the new-born. The course is taught to both men and women, and aims to raise awareness of maternal-child health issues, and significantly reduce maternal and neo-natal mortality.

Donating with is really easy and completely secure. If you are a UK taxpayer, please confirm that you would like to reclaim Gift Aid on your donation. This will add 25p to every £1 you give.
